Just 32 students across the country were awarded the prestigious scholarship, and Jory is now the tenth University of South Carolina student to receive the award.
We're so proud of Jory, not only because of his academic accomplishments, but also because he serves and loves the Lord with such enthusiasm and dedication. Jory, who has autism, refuses to let his diagnosis and physical disabilities limit his willingness to follow Christ, pursue academic excellence, and be a part of the body of Christ. He been a part of Shandon College Ministry throughout his 4 years at University of South Carolina and we're glad to have had the opportunity to be a part of his spiritual development.
After graduation this May, Jory plans to study at the University of Oxford in England.
Best of luck at Oxford next year, Jory! Continue to shine the light of Christ wherever He sends you.
Various national media outlets have picked up Jory's story:
