AHOY, MATEYS!

The countdown is on for the pirates to set sail for VBS 2016!  Our pirate crew sets sail on Monday, June 12 at 9am, and this year, our motto is "seeking true treasure."

Here are a few key notes for kids, parents and our church family:

PIRATE CREW

Kids  entering kindergarten through completion of 5th grade

  1. You will be on a journey filled with lots of adventure seeking true treasure! Your map will guide you.
  2. You will hang out with other pirates and make new friends!
  3. You will learn how to talk like a pirate! (Every kid's dream, right?)
  4. You can help send kids who have never heard about Jesus to camp!
  5. You can invite your family to a Fun Family Night on Thursday night at 6:30!

PIRATE CREW PARENTS

  1. Your pirate will be led by Pirate Captains who are planned and prepared to point your kids to Jesus! We're so thankful for all our volunteers who will love kids and point them to Jesus during VBS.
  2. Your kids will be safe and secure while on their sail. If you are pre-registered, check in at our electronic check-in stations and receive your child’s room assignment and security tag.
Not pre-registered? Stop by our registration table on Monday morning (hallway outside the gym).
    Online registration closes Wednesday!
  3. Your kids will come home tired, but happy...and with some really good pirate jokes!

Pirate Prayer Warriors

  1. Pray for lives of all our pirates to be changed through VBS as they find out Jesus is their true treasure.
  2. Pray for safety for our week!
  3. Pray for our pirate captains as they lead our pirate crew! Ask God to give them wisdom, energy, and strength as they guide through the adventure!

Don't just worship at Eucharist--Help LEAD IT!

main image

We can't wait to gather together on Palm Sunday to take the Lord's Supper and worship our risen Lord Jesus. Our Palm Sunday Night of Worship, Eucharist, is March 20 at 6pm. This year's event will include singing "At the Cross" by candlelight. It's going to be both beautiful and powerful, solemn and exciting, meaningful and fun.

I invite you to be a part of the choir that will join the modern worship band for a portion of the service--you don't have to be a part of our 10am worship choir.

REHEARSALS

  • 2 rehearsals (Tuesday, March 15 & Thursday, March 17, 6:30-8pm) + the Eucharist on March 20  at 6pm
  • Rehearsals will be in the Choir Room (basement of the Worship Center)
  • Childcare not provided for rehearsals. (Childcare is provided for infants through 4 year olds for the event.)

Want to be a "lead worshipper" at this year's Eucharist? Email me, Scott Lee, at  .  We will close the choir recruitment  this Sunday, March 13, so don't delay!
