Children's Baptism

Once a child puts his or her faith in Jesus Christ for salvation, the next step is to experience baptism, a symbolic picture of the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ and of their identification with Him. The pattern for baptism is a public declaration of personal faith by being fully immersed in water. It is also a way to reaffirm Him as Lord by being willing to obey His desire for you to be baptized. This is also the final step to completing the membership process at Shandon.

If your child is interested in taking steps towards salvation or baptism, please contact our Children's Minister, Mimi Brookshire, to set up an appointment for your child to meet with her.  Mimi can help you and your child determine his or her readiness for this big step in his or her spiritual life.

We offer children's baptism a couple of times a year.  Please contact Mimi for more information:  or 782-1300, ext. 151.
