High School

On Sunday mornings, our goal is to equip our students to live for Christ, nurture spiritual growth and foster lifelong friendships. We start out with announcements, games, and songs. Then Pastor Frank gives a short message and dismisses students to small groups (based on gender and grade in school).

Small groups range from 5-12 students with one lead teacher (college students and adults) per group. This 30-minute discussion time gives students a chance to go deeper into the Word while allowing them to ask questions and interact with their peers as well as the lead teacher.

Location: High School Sunday School meets in room C240 ("The Vista") for announcements, games and songs before teaching and small group time.
Directions: Facing the back entrances of the church, enter on the left side with the covered overhang. Go to the staircase on your left and follow the blue signs for "High School."
Time: Choose from two Sunday School hours:

  • 9:00 AM (Students attend the Modern Worship Service at 10:30 AM afterward.)
  • 10:30 AM (Students attend the Blended Worship Service at 9:00 AM before.)

Note for parents: When you send your student to Sunday School, please make sure they know where you want them to meet you afterward. There is no check-out process for the middle school students on Sunday mornings.

Refuge is our Wednesday Night environment for high school students. Students connect and grab a bite to eat followed by worship and teaching. Fusion is an exciting, friendly environment for our students to introduce their friends to the gospel.

Location: room C240 ("The Vista")
Directions: Facing the back entrances of the church, enter on the left side with the covered overhang. Go to the staircase on your left and follow the blue signs for "High School."

  • 6:30-7:45pm: Worship & Teaching

We want to prepare students to live out what they learn, which is exactly what we do in 803 Discipleship. It is a four-step discipleship process where students learn the Gospel (101), how to study the Bible (201), how to defend their faith (301), and then live it out through 803 home groups.

HOW IT WORKS

Each step (101, 201, and 301) involves four training sessions which are available three times a year (Fall, Spring, and Summer) on Sunday afternoons from 2:30-4:30pm.  Students begin with 101. Once students pass a final verse test, they are eligible for the next level the next time it is available.

Students in 6th and 7th grades are encouraged to take the first two steps in the process (101 & 201). The 301 and 803 home groups are available to students in the 8th grade and higher.
