Modern Worship Band
Our modern worship band is always looking for talented musicians and singers who love to use their skills to serve the Lord and His church. If you have a passion for music and Christ and are available to practice on Tuesday evenings beginning at 6:45pm, consider auditioning for our modern worship band. Choir & Orchestra
Our choir and orchestra are mostly made up of regular people who love worship and may have sung in choirs or played in bands and orchestras at some point in their lives. If you have ever sung in a choir, played an instrument, or maybe always wanted to, consider attending a choir or orchestra rehearsal to check it out! We have friendly members who would love to welcome you into our choir or orchestra family.
Check out the rehearsal schedule below and just drop in for a “test drive”. We have room for you to come share the joy of the highest calling of all…leading God’s people into worship! Tech Arts Volunteers
It takes many dedicated volunteers working behind the scenes to make Sunday mornings at Shandon possible. From camera operators to sound and light engineers, the TAV team is crucial to our ministry. If you have mad tech skills--or just have a passion for all things tech combined with a teachable heart--we'd love to talk to you about joining our tech arts team. Outreach Groups
Shandon’s five octave handbell group takes the Music & Worship Arts ministry outside the walls of our church. The handbell group performs concerts in other churches and civic venues in the Columbia community. We always have room for new players.
We also have a senior adult choir. This group of wonderful “seasoned” adults practices weekly and performs at area retirement centers. If you are interested in singing with this group, please contact us for more information and rehearsal times.
In addition, we are forming smaller performance groups composed of members from the Celebration Choir and Orchestra that will not only serve in our worship services but also minister in our community.
