Middle School

On Sunday mornings, our goal is to equip our students to live for Christ, nurture spiritual growth and foster lifelong friendships. We start out with lead teaching time in a large group and then break up into small groups that are separated by grade and gender.

Location: Middle School Sunday School meets in room C223 ("5 Points") for announcements, games and songs before teaching and small group time.
Directions: Facing the back entrances of the church, enter on the left side with the covered overhang. Go to the staircase on your left and follow the blue signs for "Middle School."
Time: Choose from two Sunday School hours:

  • 9:00 AM (Students attend the Modern Worship Service at 10:30 AM afterward.)
  • 10:30 AM (Students attend the Blended Worship Service at 9:00 AM before.)

Note for parents: When you send your student to Sunday School, please make sure they know where you want them to meet you afterward. There is no check-out process for the middle school students on Sunday mornings.

Fusion is our Wednesday Night environment for middle school students during the school year. Students connect and grab a bite to eat followed by worship and teaching. Fusion is an exciting, friendly environment for our students to introduce their friends to the gospel.

Location: room C223 ("5 Points")
Directions: Facing the back entrances of the church, enter on the left side with the covered overhang. Go to the staircase on your left and follow the blue signs for "Middle School."
Time: 6:00-7:45pm

  • 6:00-6:45pm: Connect, play games, purchase from the snack bar
  • 6:45-7:45pm: Worship & Teaching

We want to prepare students to live out what they learn, which is exactly what we do in 803 Discipleship. It is a four-step discipleship process where students learn the Gospel (101), how to study the Bible (201), how to defend their faith (301), and then live it out through 803 home groups. Register for the next semester below.

HOW IT WORKS

Each step (101, 201, and 301) involves four training sessions which are available three times a year (Fall, Spring, and Summer) on Sunday afternoons from 2:30-4:30pm.  Students begin with 101. Once students pass a final verse test, they are eligible for the next level the next time it is available.

Students in 6th and 7th grades are encouraged to take the first two steps in the process (101 & 201). The 301 and 803 home groups are available to students in the 8th grade and higher.

QUESTIONS

For questions about our discipleship program, contact Travis Teague: or (803) 782-1300.

LEAD is our 8th grade leadership team. The purpose of the LEAD team is for every student leader to mature in their personal walk with God, to grow as a Christ-like influencer, and to become a spiritual leader that will impact the Middle School ministry, their home, their school, and the world. LEAD Members meet twice a month to go through a leadership curriculum and serve together on Sunday’s in Wednesday’s in different capacities.
