National Partnership
Shandon's Missions Ministry is proud to announce the formulation of a partnership with the Chicago Metropolitan Baptist Association which will run until December 2014. Chicago is one of the most culturally diverse cities in the world, with the vast majority of its citizens without a personal relationship with Jesus. Through this partnership Shandon will provide financial, prayer, and people resources to assist the leadership of the CMBA and also specific local congregations in developing and implementing strategies for planting new churches and also strengthening existing churches.
Plans are in the works for an adult mission trip to Chicago this summer. Other age group ministries are also contemplating the sending of mission teams from Shandon in the next couple of years.
2012 Mission Trip to Chicago: Saturday, July 28 – Friday, August 3
Potential ministries: survey evangelism, block party, children’s ministry, painting, and light construction.
Estimated Cost: $640 plus personal expenses
