Prepare breakfast, get your kids off to school, get to work, run errands on your lunch break, rush from work to get your kids, help them with homework while preparing dinner, head to the grocery store, keep kids corralled at the grocery store, get them ready for bed, clean up the house, start some laundry, get backpacks and lunches ready for the morning, go to bed and repeat tomorrow.
While being a single mom can be consuming, sometimes the most difficult part is not the exhaustion but the feeling of loneliness. God did not create us to feel lonely. He created us to be in community with other people. That is what The Sisterhood is all about—a group of ladies who have all been or are going through the same struggle of being a single mom. It’s a safe group where you will be welcomed, loved, encouraged, and given the chance to not only be helped but help someone else who is a few steps behind you.
Come check out the Single Moms Ministry at Shandon Baptist. You’re not alone.
